Salmon Pie

This dinner came about as I had fillo pastry I needed to use. The lovely blog of What are you going to eat? posted this recipe for a salmon pie and it sounded so delicious.

It consists of salmon, artichokes (I used bottled), asparagus, red onion, blue cheese, eggs and cream. All encased in a beautiful crispy fillo casing. I have never used salmon in this way before and it was absolutely delicious. The flavours all worked perfectly.

Do check out the recipe, and don't worry scroll past the greek and you will find the english ;)

  2. This looks really nice. Do you think you could use tinned salmon (in an effort to save money more than anything)?

  3. I'm going to give this a go. I have rarely cooked salmon apart from on the grill, so it will be worth a try. Looks delish on your plate!

  6. Thanks for all your comments, and MissPiggy I think that you could easily substitute tinned salmon. Although saying that we bought two decent size pieces of salmon from castle hill markets for $10 which is probably cheaper then buying the equivalent in a tin!
