Janella's Tofu and Prawn Noodles

I have cooked a few recipes of Janella Purcell's from Cood Chef Bad Chef and have always been really happy, but this one has let me down. It was tasty but it wasn't amazing.
The recipe is for tempeh noodles, tempeh being a fermented soybean product but since I was unable to find this I used firm tofu. Actually the tofu was the best part of the dish! It has been exciting learning to cook Tofu.
The dish was on the very spicy side of almost too hot to eat, and that was using half the chilli recommended in the recipe. It just tasted like a standard home cooked stir fry dish (and looks like one too!).

  1. I think this might be nicer with firm tofu as you used

  2. What a shame the dish did not deliver. At least you've had success with some of her other recipes. The photo by the way is quite nice. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
