I saw the recipe for this Turkish pizza on the beautiful Delicieux blog and knew straight away that I would make it.
The yeast dough (which i kneaded myself - i have no machine to do the work for me!) is risen and then flattened into an oval shape ready for the filling.
I kept with the same toppings of roasted pumpkin, feta, chilli and onion, the only change being I caramelised the onion first.
I was so pleased and will be making this one again.
Muppy this looks wonderful! I am SO glad you enjoyed my recipe enough to try it yourself.
ReplyDeleteGood on you for kneading the dough yourself too. I'm all for whatever is easier :)
Looks great! I kneaded dough a couple of times using my average stand mixer until it broke. It turned out to be a good thing because part of the pleasure of making your own bread is kneading the dough by hand.
ReplyDeleteoooh homemade turkish pizza is one of my favourites!
ReplyDeleteYet another thing I haven't heard of - and I spent a week in Turkey! This looks really delicious. Do you know if it would freeze well? I would love to try it and it looks like it could be a good dinner for a working day night if it could be frozen. Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious, I love the combination of those flavours!

ReplyDeleteJenn - its not really suitable for freezing, even reheated the next day means soggy bread.
Lateraleating - I do quite enjoy kneading bread by hand too.
I saw this on Delixieux's site and thought that it looked absolutely fabulous too! :D Well done!
